This is an image showing the difference between two types of 3D images: flat shaded colored objects (1) and those that are texture mapped (2), which are bitmap images used to add detail to 3D shapes. It is an exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics.
